Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actor and singer. Her birthplace was Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier as well as Tom Bell. Kristen was born in Michigan's Huntington Woods with a Polish mother and a father who has a mix of German, English Irish, Scottish and Irish. Kristen was already an accomplished performer from a young age. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent before she was 13 and she was cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. Additionally, she began to take classes in acting privately. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical as well as drama. When her school staged a show of The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell went to the Tisch School of the Arts which she attended to study Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell dropped out of her studies in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky, a character from Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell's first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part is cut off and the credits are all that show her. Bell was on Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival with Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
